I have dedicated my career to supporting others on their journey towards better mental health and wellbeing. To understand the heart behind Create & Shine, it’s important to share the story that brought me here.
In my early twenties, I was diagnosed with ADHD. While that diagnosis finally explained why my mind struggled to keep up with society’s rigid expectations, it didn't come with a guide for how to actually feel better.
So, I spent years searching for answers. I read the self-help books, downloaded the wellness apps, and forced myself into conventional routines. But it all felt draining, unrealistic, and just another set of demands on an already exhausting to-do list.
Eventually, I realized the truth: I didn’t need more pressure, stricter routines, or a better productivity system.
I needed to get my spark back.
Gradually, I began giving myself permission to reconnect with my true, self .and time to rediscover the things that create joy, meaning, and a sense of wellbeing again.
Through the process, I learned that meaningful change doesn't require us to completely reinvent our lives. Often, it comes from just slowing down enough to notice the small things; a moment of peace, a creative idea, a genuine connection. The simple joys that help us feel like ourselves again.
I believe that “wellbeing” is a lifelong journey. It’s about learning to embrace your unique strengths, your sensitivities, your creativity, and your flaws, all at once.
